My name is Mrs. Tracy Martin.  I am so thrilled to be part of the Jefferson Elementary 1st Grade Team! I am beginning my 15th year of teaching at the elementary level. The whole staff at Jefferson is amazing and so much fun to work with.

 

I did my undergraduate work at Manchester University and earned my master’s in Education from Indiana Wesleyan. 

 

I taught for seven years in Warsaw at Madison Elementary before “retiring” to stay home with our two kids, Meg and Will, in 2003.  In order to keep my skills current, I also taught a class at Southwestern Michigan College for nine semesters.  This will be my fourth year in first grade.  I taught kindergarten at JES for four years prior to “graduating” to first grade.

I love working out, reading, and spending time with my family.  My little sister, Kelly Schrock, is a teacher at JES too! She teaches third grade.  My husband is in Marketing for the RV industry.  My daughter, Meg, is a sophomore at NHS.  Will is a 7th grader at NMS. I have an identical twin sister, Stacy. She also lives in the area. 

 

I will love your child first then teach them all they need to know to be ready for second grade.  Feel free to call, text, or email me ANYTIME!  I get up super early, and don’t go to bed nearly as early as I should.  I never want you or your little one worrying about something that could be solved in a quick phone call!
